What is the changeover day?
Friday is preferred, but we can consider other changeover days
Are towels & bed linen provided?
Yes, both are provided. We provide 8 bath towels, and a hand towel for each toilet / bathroom. We can provide additional poolside towels.
How do we gain access to the Spa?
We provide you with 2 spa passes. Each pass covers everyone staying at Cornerstone Cottage – there are 2 in case you arrive at different times.
Is there an onsite shop?
Yes, the onsite shop sells food essentials, luxury items, and can provide newspapers (more information in our Welcome Pack & email firstname.lastname@example.org). The shop is a short walk from the house.
Do I need a car?
Cotswold Cottage is a 10 minute taxi ride from Kemble Station which has direct links to London Paddington Station. There is so much to do on the Lower Mill Estate that it is easy to spend a week at Cornerstone Cottage without needing to use a car.
Can we get groceries delivered?
Yes, most supermarkets can deliver to the house.
Is there access to a travel cot and baby high chair?
Yes, both a baby high chair and travel cot can be provided on request
Is there a dishwasher, washer and tumble dryer?
Do mobile phones work?
Some phone networks get reception at the house, but it is variable. Why not leave it at home for a truly relaxing break?
Is there satellite TV?
No, but a large selection of freeview HD channels are available.
Is tennis coaching available?
Yes, we can put you in contact with a tennis coach.
Is horse riding available?
Yes, we can put you in contact with a riding centre.
Is there a music system?
Yes, the music system in the living room. You can play music on CDs, iPhones & iPods with Lightning connector, or MP3 music files on a USB flash drive.
Do you have a barbecue?
Yes! We have a barbecue and guests are enjoy barbecuing on the sundeck. We provide you with charcoal for your first barbecue.
Where is the nearest Supermarket?
Lower Mill Estate is located 5 miles south of Cirencester. 10 – 15 minutes drive away in Cirencester you will find a large Tesco and Waitrose – both with their own parking.
Do you have a coffee machine?
Yes, there is a Nespresso coffee machine available for you to use. We provide 20 capsules, you may like to bring more capsules
Where will I be able to park?
You can unload near to the house and then park in a nearby car park (approx 2 minute walk)
How far is it to the beach?
Whilst Cornerstone Cottage is a long way from the coast, it is less than a mile from a wonderful inland beach which comes complete with sand, boat hire, water zorbing and crazy golf.
Can I bring my pet?
Cornerstone Cottage is set up to be very family friendly and we have lots of very young guests so unfortunately we do not accept pets.
Are there good places to shop nearby?
Cirencester has a wide range of shops, including many individual privately owned shops. Many people enjoy shopping to be found in Cotswold villages and towns. In Swindon (about 20 minutes drive) there is a shopping outlet with many well-known brands selling discounted goods.
Do you provide wood for the wood-burning stove?
Some logs, and kindling wood are provided to start you off. If you need some more you can top up at the General Store on the estate.
